I am the Assistant Manager of Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center – part of Queens Public Library. While working from my kitchen table during COVID, I am acting as support for my staff and mainly am assisting to manage our virtual programs and professional development. This involves contacting presenters, managing programming schedules and outreach, encouraging and supporting staff for their programming, managing statistics, social media, providing resources, etc. As a staff we are working to build our community and provide information and engagement. We are striving to be present for our community in any way we can.
